The flower fields here in Jacksonville don’t tend to last very long in the spring which is a bummer because everyone loves a flower field photography session. In fact, we’re lucky to get just a couple of weeks in a good year. So imagine my surprise, and my excitement to find flower fields in full bloom during a recent vacation to Michigan. There was no way I could let the flowers pass me by without taking advantage of them.
Luckily, it just happened to coincide with Miss Cora’s 8-month milestone session. What’s cuter than a squishy 8-month-old with rolls for days? Only that same sweet babe in a field of flowers showing off those rolls.
We started off in a super cute gray dress with ruffles for days. This was about the time Cora discovered that flowers and weeds were within reaching distance. Also, that if she picked them she could promptly put them in her mouth. I think this might be my new selling point for the flower field photography session, enjoy a snack while I photograph!
Once we moved past that fascination she decided to show off a little bit for us. Just in time for an outfit change that accentuated ever sweet chunky roll she has.
With her mom talking to her over my shoulder, Miss Cora proceeded to clap, giggle and grin her little single tooth smile straight into the camera. Be still my heart. How can you not fall in love? I might be a tiny bit biased but shes the cutest 8-month-old I’ve ever photographed.
I can’t wait to host these flower field sessions in Jacksonville next year. If they’re half the success of this one we will be in for a good year.
